Summer is quickly approaching, and that means there will be a lot of fun and interactive ways to show off that smile of yours! We are here to ensure that your teeth and gums are as healthy as can be!
For young children, it can be difficult to keep their teeth and gums as clean and healthy as possible, especially if they are at the age where they can do just about anything by themselves! So how can you be sure they brushed but still keep their sense of independence? After all, keeping their teeth clean is in their best interest!
Drink water before and after meals. By doing this, your child is washing away germs, plaque, and bacteria from their teeth. After the meal, the water is also serving the purpose of brushing their teeth.
Feed them grainy fruits. Summertime is the perfect time to add watermelon to your kid’s diet. Watermelon has a natural grainy texture that will brush your child’s teeth without them even knowing!
Cut back on sugar. We all know that sugar leads to cavities, so do the best you can to monitor the amount of sugar your child eats on a regular basis.
It’s important to keep oral hygiene a fun task for kids, and when they visit us a Progressive Family Dentistry, we will continue to make it a fun and wonderful learning experience!
