October is bringing Summerville all kinds of fun celebrations, but this just might be the most delicious one yet!!
Happy October, Summerville! It looks like this wonderful month is going to continue bringing us all kinds of amazing celebrations benefiting some of the best fundraisers our city represents. Along with Oktoberfest and Halloween, we will also be celebrating Italian Heritage in the Lowcountry with the Summerville Feast! And it embodies everything a Feast can be. This year’s festival will be featuring 48 craft booths and 20 vendors. The Feast is dedicated to educating about the Italian culture and its amazing food.
Admission is free, and there will be fun for the whole family. You can sample as you like while also enjoying wine and beer. You will be able to experience authentic Italian cuisine and all kinds of food local to the Lowcountry. Come celebrate with us in Hutchinson Square park right in the middle of Historic Downtown Summerville. Parking is free at the Town Hall Parking garage and all-around in surrounding areas.
The Feast will be on October 20th this year and will go from 11 am and will end with the squashing of the very last grape at 6 pm. Throughout the day, while enjoying some amazing cuisine and Italian culture, you will be able to enjoy entertainment from local talent and local artist’s celebrating Italian culture and heritage.
This year’s Feast is sponsored by Southern Industries and Jana Bantz and Associates. All proceeds this year from the feast will benefit the DD2 Educational Foundation.
We can’t wait to see you there. Maybe we can even share a meatball or two!
