A Mount Pleasant man by the name of Mark Swain was attacked by two men late November. Swain, who is the president of the Mt. Pleasant Neighborhood Association, suffered some damage to his teeth. Shortly after Swain was talked into setting up a GoFundMe. The Clear Choice Dental Implant Center picked up on the story. Well before the attack Swain had neglected dental care and had a slight phobia of the dental office. On March 1st Swain spent eight hours in the dental chair. Clear Choice removed his old and damaged teeth free of charge. They implanted a temporary material and plan to have him return in order to fit his new permanent teeth. After the extensive dental work, Swain praises the office for making the experience as comfortable as possible. Which goes to show that there is no need to be afraid of dentists. Even after eight hours in the chair Swain is less afraid of dentists than before his dental work. Your smile is worth it!
Many people have not realized that the dentist they remember is not what dentistry is now. The industry has made the dental visit much more comfortable for the patient. There are no longer huge needles to inject anesthesia, the Wand is a computer controlled machine that uses a much smaller needle and is less painful. If you do not like needles at all, there is a nasal spray that is FDA approved that takes them out of the equation completely. The dental tools have also been improved. The once loud and invasive drill has been replaced with a much easier to use, smaller, and quieter counterpart. If the drill still bothers you, many dentists have noise canceling headphones. Digital imaging has taken the place of dental impressions. Needless to say, your dentist wants you to come to the office and so do your teeth!
